Abbeville man shot 3 times in Starr

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies said an Abbeville man was shot three times near a school in Starr late Monday night.

The shooting happened in front of Flat Rock Elementary School just before midnight.

According to an incident report, deputies arrived to find a man suffering from three gunshot wounds - one to his left arm and one to each leg. The man identified the person who shot him.

Deputies said a few minutes later, the man named as the shooter by the victim was arrested during a traffic stop near the intersection of Flat Rock and Thompson roads.

It was not immediately clear if the man arrested had been charged in connection with the shooting.

The condition of the victim was not immediately released.
