A second man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the beating death of a Greenville woman in May.

On May 26, Ellen Willingham, 55, was found badly beaten behind the old Waffle House restaurant at 4306 Augusta Rd. She was taken to an area hospital, where she later died. An autopsy revealed Willingham died from blunt force trauma to the head.

On June 20, James Gary, 33, of Greenville was charged in connection with Willingham's death. He was charged with murder. He was also charged with strong-arm robbery and probation violation in an unrelated case.

Deputies said that on Tuesday morning, 31-year-old Cedric Sullivan, of Greenville, was arrested by U.S. Marshals. He was charged with murder.

Both men were being held without bond in the Greenville County jail.

Deputies said that the investigation into Willingham's death continues. Anyone with information about the case was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME (864-232-7463).
