Man killed in Iva shooting

IVA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man was found shot to death near a baseball field in Iva early Thursday morning, according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of Ricketson Road.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Chad McBride said a large group of people was gathered at the location when the shooting happened but scattered when deputies arrived.

McBride said the 27-year-old man was flown to AnMed Health for treatment, where he later died.

Deputy Anderson County Coroner Don McCown identified the man as Nathan Robinson, of Iva.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372).
