Moped-riding man tries to crack open ATM

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said someone tried to break into an ATM at a bank early Thursday morning.

The crime happened about 3:45 a.m. at the Wells Fargo branch at 3043 White Horse Rd.

Deputies said that surveillance video shows a man riding a moped arriving at the bank, using a hammer to try to crack open the safe on the ATM and then leaving without taking any money.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME (864-232-7463).
