The high of 99 at GSP today broke the previous record of 98 from 1993! We hit triple digits in several Upstate areas today, and that potential will be there tomorrow as a HOT high pressure stays in our vicinity.
We've been dealing with LOTS of severe t-storm warnings this afternoon, with some damage reported in the mountains as well as eastern Upstate areas (mainly trees down on roads and large limbs scattered about). The line of storms we were tracking through West Virginia weakened quite a bit through the mountains, but we are still looking at a severe threat through 9pm for all areas. Damaging wind and hail up to golf ball sized can't be ruled out this evening!
We'll clear tonight and do it all over again tomorrow, but I do expect storm coverage to be less on Friday.
