Greenville County deputies said two men were arrested after a car chase and crash Thursday.
Investigators said that on June 28, a vehicle that was believed to have been stolen during a June 10 robbery in Pickens County was spotted by a Greenville Count deputy. They said that when the deputy tried to stop the vehicle, the driver fled and the vehicle was able to get away.
On Thursday, deputies said, the same vehicle was spotted by the same deputy. They said that the deputy tried to stop the vehicle again, and again the driver fled. They said this time the deputy chased the vehicle, which eventually crashed at 1101 Old Easley Bridge Rd.
Deputies said three people who were inside the car were injured in the crash. Two of them, 27-year-old Casey Finley and 30-year-old Jeffrey Wooley, were arrested after they were released from the hospital.
Finley, of Greenville, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful carrying of a pistol, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, reckless driving and two counts of failure to stop for a blue light. He was being held in the Greenville County jail.
Wooley, of Simpsonville, was charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol. He was released from jail on bond.
Pickens County deputies said they do not believe Finley and Wooley were involved in the robbery of the vehicle. They said they are looking for Jonathan Moody in connection with the robbery.
