PIEDMONT, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A man was arrested after a nearly two-hourslong standoff at a home in Piedmont on Monday.
The standoff happened at 10 Carversham Row about 3:40 p.m.
Deputies said they went to the home after someone called 911 and reported a vehicle believed to have been used during an attempted burglary in the neighborhood. However, deputies said when they arrived they found the vehicle was not the same.
Deputies said that while they were at the house, they noticed a motorcycle that was idling in the backyard of a house next door. They said the motorcycle has been reported stolen. They said a man believed to be wanted on charges of attempted murder in Anderson was last seen riding the motorcycle.
Investigators surrounded the home, and the SWAT team was called to the scene. They said that Jeremy Fowler eventually surrendered, and the standoff peacefully ended.
