A truck can barely be seen among the limbs of a tree that fell on top of it. (July 10, 2012/FOX Carolina)PENDLETON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Pendleton firefighter said a tree fell on him during a storm Tuesday evening.
The volunteer fireman said he responded to a report of a tree in the road along North Mechanic Street. He said that he positioned his truck to block the road, and when he stepped out of his vehicle the tree came crashing down.
The man said he was able to crawl out from under the tree on his own.
The firefighter, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
