WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said a West Union man died Tuesday after falling from a vehicle during an argument last week.
Addis said that 31-year-old Arturo Torres and his girlfriend had an argument July 3. He said that as the woman and the couple's child tried to leave, Torres got onto the vehicle's running board, reached inside and grabbed at her. He said the woman then stopped the vehicle and Torres fell to the ground, hitting his head.
Torres was declared brain dead at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday morning.
Addis said Torres died from traumatic brain injury.
Torres' death is being investigated by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
