CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Clemson police said a woman accused of forgery led them to a man accused of breaking into several cars.
Police said that over the past several months there have been several car burglaries. They said the owners left the doors of their vehicles unlocked, which allowed someone to open the door and steal items that were left inside.
Investigators said that recently they arrested 33-year-old Leslie Ross, of Westminster, in connection with an unrelated forgery case. They said further questioning of Ross about the rash of break-ins led them to her roommate, 33-year-old Bryan Powell, of Westminster.
Police said that Powell was charged with petit larceny and nine counts of breaking into automobiles. He is being held at the Clemson Jail.
Ross was charged with forgery. She was released from jail on bond.
