It's like that family member that stays around a little longer than normal... but in the case of our rain.. we don't mind! Scattered showers and storms will be part of the forecast through the week. In fact, I expect Thursday and Friday to be a lot like today. We'll start with clouds and scattered showers, then some heavier rain and a few t-storms will develop middle to late afternoon.
Flooding could be a concern, especially in western NC tonight and tomorrow, but we don't expect widespread issues with high water at this point. The ground is fairly saturated, so wherever we get some heavy downpours expect some ponding on roads and plenty of puddles!
Temperatures are below average for this time of year, and should be that way tomorrow too! By the weekend, temps will start to slowly creep back up as we'll have less clouds and shower activity.
Check out my facebook or twitter page for a cool outflow boundary pic! We've seen a lot of these lately (they are like mini-cold front that develop from the cool air that rushes out of t-storms). Luckily today we haven't had any severe weather, but an isolated strong storm will be possible through this evening.
