United drops daily flight to Houston from Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

United Airlines dropped its daily flight to Houston from Asheville Regional Airport on Wednesday.

A representative of the Asheville airport said some decisions by city leaders in Houston forced United to cut back on its flights to the Texas city. Asheville was one of the cut flights.

United still has three flights that serve Asheville Regional Airport - one to Newark, NJ, and two to Chicago.
