GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Blacksburg woman was killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of North Mountain Street and North Mountain Street Extension.
Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler said 66-year-old Patricia Sexton failed to yield to a tractor-trailer at the intersection. He said the semi hit Sexton's car in the driver's door, trapping her in the car.
Sexton died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck, Fowler said.
The truck driver was not hurt in the crash, Fowler said.
