Storm today in Gray Court, from RickyThe storms have really packed a punch this afternoon, with frequent lightning, heavy downpours and we've had some reports of small hail. We'll have the threat for more storms through the week, as we keep warm and muggy conditions around. The Bermuda High is controlling our weather, which typically brings plenty of heat mixed with humidity. Our wind is generally out of the south and southwest, which continues to reinforce the muggy conditions (thanks to the high pressure flowing clockwise to our east).
Tuesday and Wednesday will be a lot like today, with plenty of midday heat, then scattered showers and storms. Thursday and Friday I expect the storms to be more widespread as a cold front approaches. The front will act as a focusing mechanism for storms through early in the weekend, and temps will be brought down about 7-10 degrees! At this point Saturday looking stormier than Sunday, but both days you'll want to have a back-up plan to your outdoor activities!
