ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A former Anderson County deputy accused of selling drugs earlier this month was accused of another drug-related crime Monday.

On July 2, Shane Thompson was arrested on a misconduct charge after a joint investigation between the sheriff's office and the State Law Enforcement Division.

According to an arrest warrant, Thompson sold drugs and provided sensitive information about law enforcement to people without authorization to receive such information.

On Monday, a drug-possession charge was filed against Thompson.

According to an arrest warrant, Thompson had hydrocodone in his sheriff's office vehicle. It said that Thompson did not have a prescription for the painkiller.

Thompson had worked for the sheriff's office since January 2005.
