GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A father and his handicapped son were found dead in their Blacksburg home Wednesday, according to Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler.
Fowler said that deputies were sent to their South Rutherford Street home after the person who normally mowed the lawn there was unable to get anyone to answer the door. He said that deputies entered the home and found the bodies of 66-year-old Edward Reynolds and his son, 34-year-old Edward Heath Reynolds.
Fowler said that the elder Reynolds died from a heart problem, while his son died from dehydration.
"Heath Reynolds was physically handicapped and totally dependent on the care of his father," Fowler said. "It appears Edward Reynolds died late Monday and Heath Reynolds (on) Tuesday."
Fowler said there were no signs of foul play in connection with the mens' deaths.
