Deputies: Barefoot man steals syringes from ambulance

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said two paramedics caught a man break into and steal supplies from an ambulance parked outside of a Spartanburg hospital Thursday.

Spartanburg County deputies were called to Mary Black Hospital about noon after the paramedics saw a man inside the ambulance before running away, barefoot.

Deputies said they found the man inside a men's restroom at the women's pavilion along with a plastic bag with hypodermic syringes inside.

Deputies arrested 22-year-old Alexander Ruiz. He was charged with carbreaking and petit larceny.
