Peace Center reveals upcoming season's stars

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

From Bill Cosby to the Jersey Boys, the 2012-2013 season at Greenville's The Peace Center for the Performing Arts offers a variety of performers and events.

The new season will kick off on Sept. 12 with a concert by Vince Gill. Gill is one of several country music performers headed to Greenville including Martina McBride and Leann Rimes.

If country music is not up your alley, then a variety of classical and acclaimed artists are scheduled including classical guitarist Milos, jazz trumpeter Christ Botti, violinist Joshua Bell, and singer, songwriter and guitarist Boz Scaggs.

If you're looking for a few laughs, Wanda Sykes will be in town Oct. 14 and Cosby will be here in April.

For lovers of the stage and musicals, the Broadway series lineup includes Million Dollar Quartet, Mary Poppins, Sister Act, Billy Elliot The Musical and the aforementioned Jersey Boys. The Blue Man Group is also part of the series.

Other performances include Joffery Ballet, Boston Pops with Keith Lockhart, Ira Glass, David Sedaris and many more.

The 2012-2013 season runs until July 28, 2013.
