Police: TN woman hit by husband's vehicle after NC fight

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -
Asheville police said they are looking for a man who ran over his wife after the pair got into a fight inside the vehicle Sunday morning.
Police said that at 11:39 a.m. they were called to the intersection of Interstate 240 and Brevard Road about a woman who may have been thrown from a vehicle. They said that arriving officers found a woman sitting near the roadway who was covered by a sheet.
Investigators said that the woman and the driver of the vehicle, identified as 40-year-old Roy Byington, got into a fight inside the vehicle. They said that the woman was able to escape from the vehicle.
Police said that Byington then hit the woman with his truck, which knocked her into a passing vehicle. Byington then fled the scene, police said.
Byington, who is wanted on a charge of assault inflicting serious injury, was described as white, 6'2" tall, medium build with blond hair and blue eyes.
