A Genesee County man will not be back in court today as expected.
Douglas Guffey, 57, of Richfield Township, is facing charges of sexually abusing four children while running a program for girls at his horse farm. He was arrested earlier this month.
Police said he would bring girls to the farm for internships in exchange for teaching lessons. Investigators said his alleged victims are over the age of 12, but are still minors.
Guffey's preliminary exam has been pushed back to Aug. 8. He's facing four charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and three charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Guffey operates Advance Farm, Inc. off of M-15 in Richfield Township.
Authorities said Guffey doesn't have a criminal record, but a judge in the case has set his bond at $1.2 million.
