PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Pickens County deputies said a man who held up a Six Mile store Tuesday night locked the two clerks in the office during the robbery.

The robbery happened just before 10 p.m. at the Dollar General store at 2308 Liberty Highway.

According to an incident report, a man walked into the store, pointed a gun at one of the clerks and told her to go get her co-worker. The report said the man then handed one of the clerks a bag and demanded she put the money from the register inside.

The report said the man then forced the two clerks into an office, had them place the cash from the office in the bag, locked them inside the office and fled the scene.

The robber was described as black, about 6' tall, wearing a long-sleeve, black-and-red shirt, white tennis shoes, gloves and a black hat. The man was also wearing a black T-shirt over his face, according to the report.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff's Office at 864-898-5500.
