COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An Indiana-based baking company said it will open a new facility in Cherokee County, creating 51 jobs.
ACE Bakery, a subsidiary of Weston Foods, said it will produce its line of artisan baked breads at the $18.4 million facility.
"South Carolina offered us the right mix of a business-friendly environment and strong workforce that will help us be successful," said Weston Foods Executive Vice President Ed Holik.
Details about the type of jobs being created were not immediately released, but officials said hiring will begin in the coming months.
