GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said someone fired shots at a Greenville park Thursday evening.

The shooting happened about 8 p.m. at Butler Springs Park on Butler Springs Road.

Deputies said someone fired shots, wounding a person in the leg, and then fled the scene. They said he ran in the direction of the Haywood Pointe Apartments.

A witness at the scene said he saw two men running through a nearby wooded area when one of them started shooting.
