GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The death of a Greenville toddler who was hit and killed by a car Monday was ruled accidental.

The crash happened about 11:30 a.m. at 421 Saluda Dam Rd. inside the Riverview Mobile Home Park II.

An investigator from the Greenville County Coroner's Office said 15-month-old Yoely Padillo was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy revealed she died from blunt force trauma, investigators said.

Investigators said they are trying to figure out which car was involved in the crash.

"We want to make sure we cross every 'T' and dot every 'I.' We want every agency that needs to be involved to assist us with our investigation and possibly assist them with their investigation," said Bill Rhyne with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The 15-month-old's mother, Rina Padillo, said, "I went to the store. I told my sister, 'I'm leaving my kids with you. I will be right back because it's too hot.' It was just five minutes away from home."

Detectives said they are investigating the case not as a hit-and-run but as a car versus pedestrian.

"Right now we are trying to determine which vehicle struck the child," said Jeff Fowler, the Greenville County coroner.

The mother told FOX Carolina one of her other children saw a blue car hit Yoely. She also said investigators took her blue SUV and her ex-husband's white SUV into evidence.

"I just want justice against the person who killed my daughter," said Rina Padillo, who in one day lost all of her children in one form or another. She told FOX Carolina the Department of Social Services took her other two children into custody, one of whom is now in their father's care.
