ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Another Anderson County deputy was arrested and fired Monday after a state investigation.

According to the State Law Enforcement Division, 31-year-old Mark Miller, of Anderson, was charged with misconduct in office and distribution of a controlled substance.

According to an arrest warrant, Miller was trying to distribute hydrocodone, a painkiller.

Miller had been a deputy with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office since June 2009.

On July 2, Shane Thompson was arrested on a misconduct charge after a joint investigation between the sheriff's office and the State Law Enforcement Division.

According to an arrest warrant, Thompson sold drugs and provided sensitive information about law enforcement to people without authorization to receive such information.

Thompson had worked for the sheriff's office since January 2005.
