SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The third and final suspect in the shooting death of a college student last year in Spartanburg County was arrested in the Virgin Islands on Wednesday.

Deputies said that on July 25, 2011, the body of 19-year-old Deandre Fulton-Smith was found inside his apartment at the Reserve at Park West at 2000 Keats Dr. They said electronics belonging to Fulton-Smith were taken from his home at gunpoint.

About a month later, deputies named 20-year-old Sama Quinland, his sister, 21-year-old Shaphon Quinland, and Sama Quinland's brother-in-law, 22-year-old Michael Choice, as suspects in Fulton-Smith's death.

A few days after the announcement, deputies arrested Shaphon Quinland and Choice, charging them with accessory after the fact.

Deputies said that on July 21, police in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, received an anonymous tip about Sama Quinland's whereabouts after someone saw his mugshot on an episode of America's Most Wanted. He was arrested Wednesday.

Sama Quinland has been charged with murder and armed robbery in connection with Fulton-Smith's death. He is awaiting extradition to Spartanburg County.

Investigators have not said how the trio knew Fulton-Smith.
