NEWBERRY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they found a Prosperity man who was accused of shooting his girlfriend in the face Thursday morning during a domestic fight.

Newberry County deputies said they were called to a Prosperity home on Highway 773 about 6 a.m. where they found the woman, who had been shot.

The victim's boyfriend and accused shooter is 37-year-old Robert Kinard. Deputies said warrants were obtained for attempted murder.

Kinard was traveling in a 2000 white Ford crew cab truck and was located by a deputy near Little Mountain on Highway 76, deputies said. They said he was taken into custody without incident.

The woman's injuries were not life-threatening, but deputies did not release what hospital she was taken to while Kinard remained at large.
