SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The body of a missing Indiana man was found in Lake Keowee on Monday morning, according to Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis.
Addis said a resident who lives near the lake saw something floating in the water about 7:40 a.m. and called for help.
The body was identified as that of 23-year-old Brian Smith, of Anderson, IN, Addis said.
Addis said Smith was last known to be alive early Saturday morning, during a phone call with an ex-girlfriend. He said that during the phone call Smith made comments suggesting he may harm himself.
There were no visible signs of injury, Addis said. He said an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Smith was visiting family in the area, Addis said.
