
The kickoff for National Night Out will feature a block party for local families in Anderson Monday.
At 6 p.m., the Anderson Civic Center will be loaded with all sorts of fun and entertainment for kids and their parents.
National Night Out is an event for the community and its local government workers, including police, fire, EMS workers and Sheriff's departments to teach children to keep safe from crime and drug use.
Attendees can meet and talk with Chief Martin Brown, Sheriff John Skipper and first responders.
Spartanburg and Greenville will be hosting their own National Night Out Tuesday.
