Greenville County deputies named a suspect Monday in the beating death of a woman who was found dead inside her Greenville home last month.
Deputies said that on July 15 they went to 8 Valentine St. to check on a person who lived there after a neighbor said she had not been seen for a couple of days. They said they found the body of 59-year-old Ramona Hatton inside.
On Monday, deputies identified 30-year-old Ramane Green, of Simpsonville, as a suspect in Hatton's death.
According to warrant issued for Green's arrest, evidence found at the home indicates he was present at the time Hatton died.
Anyone with information about either Hatton's death or Green's whereabouts was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME (864-232-7463).
