UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Union County deputies said they arrested four people after someone fired shots from a vehicle early Saturday morning.
Deputies said that about 2 a.m. they were called to The Corner Pocket on Jonesville-Lockhart Highway in Union about someone firing shots from a vehicle in the parking lot. They said a man at a nearby gas station said he was the target of the shooting and that the gunmen were driving a black SUV.
A short time later, an SUV matching the description given by the victim was seen and deputies stopped it, investigators said. They said the people in the vehicle claimed they had been shot at by someone in the victim's vehicle. They said the back windshield of the vehicle was broken, and may have been shot out.
Deputies said a search of the victim's car did not turn up a weapon or any indications that a gun has been fired from it. They said a search of the SUV revealed several guns, shell casings and marijuana.
The four people in the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Cedric Brown, 18-year-old Najahwan Woodard, 19-year-old Kiamma Sanders and 19-year-old Tevin Fair, were each charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm at a vehicle, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of marijuana and open container.
Woodard, Sanders and Fair were also charged with minor in possession of beer.
