BUFFALO, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Union County deputies are searching for more suspects involved in a deadly shooting in Buffalo.
Sheriff David Taylor said the shooting happened along the 400 block of Lukesville Road about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. Taylor said 17-year-old Dequan Jones and a 20-year-old man were taken to Wallace Thomson Hospital with gunshot wounds.
Taylor said Jones was pronounced dead at the hospital. He would have been a senior at Union County High School this year.
Chadrick Johnson, 23, of Carlisle was arrested charged with murder. Taylor said additional charges against Johnson could follow.
A neighbor's tractor-trailer and home were also hit by bullets during the shooting. The neighbor. John Giles, said bullet holes were found inches from where his family were sleeping.
"I was in the house and I heard some shooting," said Giles. "I was laying on the couch. I was telling my old lady and my little girl to hit the floor, hit the floor, hit the floor, somebody's shooting."
Giles said he crawled along the floor to call 911.
Johnson is expected to see a judge Monday for a bond hearing. Deputies said additional arrests are expected.
