Wow, didn't it feel great outside the past two mornings? We've enjoyed below-normal temps, as thermometers have been able to dip into the 50s and low 60s across much of the area. The cooler-than-average temps have come thanks to drier air in place - the lower dewpoints and clear skies have allowed temps to drop... and have made us enjoy the morning jogs/dog-walks/coffee on the front porch!
The drier air will stick with us today, and will warm quickly now that we're seeing lots of sunshine. Highs will reach seasonal levels: Near 90 degrees in the Upstate and the low/mid 80s in WNC. Mostly sunny skies will be the norm across Upstate and NE GA spots, while the Mountain areas will see a few extra clouds overhead this afternoon.
An isolated shower or storm could fire in the higher elevations of WNC, but even in those areas things will stay mostly dry. A better chance of scattered PM showers and storms will arrive with a cold front on Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday will quiet down again, before small rain chances return for the end of the week and weekend. Have a great Monday!
