SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg County deputy's cruiser was hit by another car at an intersection Monday afternoon, deputies said.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Chesnee Highway and Fosters Grove Road.

Officials said two deputies were responding to a call about an attempted suicide. They said that as their cruisers, with blue lights and sirens on, passed through an intersection, a vehicle failed to yield to them and clipped the front of the lead patrol car.

Neither deputy was injured in the crash, officials said. They said the driver of the third vehicle was taken to a local hospital.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
