UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Union County deputies arrested 37 of 43 people Monday wanted on various drug charges.
Deputies said Operation "Summer Slam" was the third of two other roundups that were conducted earlier this year.
Sheriff David Taylor said 30 of the warrants served were regarding some type of controlled prescription medication.

"When 42 percent of your drug arrests (are) controlled substance, we have a serious problem," Taylor said.
Taylors said his deputies will work to arrest the remaining six people wanted as part of the operation.
