Fantasy football intruding on real life

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

According to new research, football fans are spending more time and more money on fantasy football.

Yahoo! Sports conducted a study on how much resources are being spent on the hobby, and the average fantasy football fan spends at least four hours a week researching players.

The study concluded that if that much time was spent at a job paying minimum wage, players would make $500 during the course of the NFL regular season.

Fantasy football is a game played by people who "own" a team made up of real life football players, and each team's success depends upon how many yards gained and touchdowns scored by each team's players.

There are many websites available to give the hobby a try, including Yahoo.com and ESPN.com.
