GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Greenville man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after admitting to two crack cocaine crimes.
Prosecutors said 31-year-old Defransco Jackson pleaded guilty to trafficking in crack cocaine and manufacturing crack cocaine.
Investigators said that on April 8, 2010, deputies went to Jackson's Marie Street home after reports of drug activity there. They said that when deputies arrived, Jackson ran into his backyard and tried to discard a plastic bag that contained 33 grams of crack cocaine. They said a search of Jackson's home turned up materials used to make the drug.
Jackson must server 85 percent of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
