Troopers investigate fatal wreck in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said a motorcycle accident in Anderson County on Sunday has left one person dead.

Troopers said it happened on Liberty Highway near Sharon Church Road at about 7:30 p.m.

A Clemson man was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle without a helmet south on US 178 when he ran off the right side of the road, and was thrown from the bike and hit a sign, troopers said.

Coroner Charlie Boseman identified the motorcyclist as Brian Kent Spattleman.
