Sometimes it pays to observe what's going on around us rather than looking at the computer screen or a particular computer forecast model. Here are some observations a viewer noted earlier today:
Andy,
it's Bob M. here from Paris Mountain-
Some observations this week:
1. A large (40-60) flock of swallows early one morning. We have a few in our area, but I never have seen that many at one time. They never winter here, they must have been migrating.
2. Large numbers (20-30) of Robins near the YMCA along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. It seems early for this to happen.
3. Quite a few (15-20 or so) Mockingbirds near the Swamp Rabbit Trail in the Berea area. I had never noticed these birds :flocking", if that was what they were doing. They seldom winter in our area.
Indications of an early fall this year? What do you think?
-Bob
