Nine bundles of marijuana were found by Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents in the wake of an ultra-light aircraft incursion from Mexico Saturday night.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Office of Air and Marine Operations Center in Riverside, CA, notified Yuma Sector of the incursion and agents began tracking the aircraft at about 11:30 p.m. AMOC notified ground units that the ULA was circling an area near Somerton, AZ.

Agents arriving in the Somerton area shortly after midnight discovered five bundles and an ultra-light  drop cage. They found three more bundles beneath a tree a short distance away and a ninth bundle nearby.

The marijuana weighed 208 pounds and was valued at $484,880. It was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for processing.
