SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg police said a man has been caught on camera breaking into a local FedEx, and now they're on the lookout for the intruder.

The break-in happened about 8 a.m. at the FedEx at 430 E. Main St. in Spartanburg. Spartanburg Public Safety said the man broke in through a unlocked side door, went through a utility electrical room and slipped through a hole in the wall to gain access to the business.

At that point, police said the intruder triggered an alarm. Officers were called to the scene, but they did not find the suspect.

"When the alarm went off, officers checked and they didn't see anything, didn't see any damage or evidence of a break-in," said Capt. Art Littlejohn with the Spartanburg Public Safety Department.

Police said the suspect didn't get away with any money, but they believe he cut himself trying to break into the cash register. They said blood was found in that area of the scene and the registers were damaged.

Authorities are still searching for that man. They urge anyone who may be able to help them identify the man to come forward.
