There are two job fairs being held in the Upstate Wednesday, which are expected to fill a combined 130 open positions.
Phillips Staffing is looking to fill 90 positions with a job fair in Fountain Inn on Wednesday. The company plans to hire workers for pay ranging from $9 to $13 per hour in the Duncan, Simpsonville, Fountain Inn and Newberry areas.
The job fair is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Fountain Inn Civic Center at 315 North Main St.
The company is looking to hire assembly technicians, forklift operators, electronic assemblers, injection molding operators and machine operators. There is also an engineering position that will start at $65,000 in the Greenville area.
There are higher paying jobs open for blow mold process technicians, making $18 an hour, along with openings for lab test engineers and control equipment technicians.
Candidates must have one to three years experience in manufacturing, a stable work history, a high school diploma or GED and must pass a drug screening.
In Spartanburg, SC, Works is hosting a job fair at the Charles Lea Center from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. to fill 40 immediate openings, including openings for weekends, second and third shifts.
The positions are full and part-time at group homes located throughout Spartanburg County. Candidates with one year of experience are preferred, along with a high school diploma or a GED.
Candidates are asked to bring a valid Social Security card and drivers license. The company conducts drug and background checks.
