A lockdown at Powdersville High School prompted by a suicide threat at a nearby home was lifted Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies said that a man threatened to harm himself during a dispute with his girlfriend at a home on Three Bridges Road. They said the nearby high school was locked down about 3:45 p.m. as a precaution.
About 30 minutes later, deputies said, the lockdown was lifted. They said several deputies were at the school to ensure the safety of students.
Deputies said they are still looking for the man who threatened suicide, but do not believe he is at the school.
