23 arrested in Oconee Co. drug sweep

OCONEE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Oconee County deputies said they arrested 23 people in a countywide operation aimed at those charged with drug crimes.

Deputies said those arrested face several charges, among them distribution of methamphetamines, marijuana, prescription drug violations, crack cocaine violations and cocaine violations.

"Our department has worked hard for the past several months in detecting these violators, and we will work diligently in the future to reduce and solve crimes in Oconee County," said Oconee County Chief Deputy Terry Wilson.

Wilson said deputies will continue their efforts to arrest the remaining people who are wanted in connection with the operation.
