GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Several popular downtown Greenville bars and restaurants were cited Friday during an undercover alcohol compliance check, according to police.
Lt. Jason Rampey with the Greenville Police Department said officers went to 12 businesses to make sure they were not selling alcohol to underage drinkers, and to see if they were in compliance with the state's drinking laws.
Six of the Central Business District locations sold alcohol to an undercover operative.
Catama Bar and Grill, Pomegranate, Compadre's, The Nose Dive and Liberty Tap Room all on South Main Street were cited. Dixie's Tavern on East North Street was also cited during the operation.
