CHESNEE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Chesnee mom is mad and her toddler son is without a prized possession.

It's a rare 1957 Chevy toy car. Police said it was stolen Friday and that there have been a lot of thefts recently in Cherokee County.

Kristina Jolley is desperate to find her son Aden's favorite toy. She even started a Facebook campaign hoping someone will come forward.

Local pawn shops said the toy would only fetch $100, but Jolley said it's worth more to her son who will turn 2 years old Saturday.

"It's the kind they push with their feet and it was real special to him. He would push that thing around for hours and hours. He absolutely loved it," Jolley said.

Now Jolley is offering a $50 reward for the safe return of the prized toy.

"You don't steal from a child and you definitely don't steal from mine," Jolley said.
