EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A crash in front of Dacusville Elementary School blocked the roadway and delayed traffic around the school Tuesday morning.
Troopers said the wreck happened about 7:25 a.m. along Cherokee Trail in front of the school's entrance.
Students will not be counted late because of the traffic delays, according to John Eby with the School District of Pickens County.
Eby said there was a fifth grade student headed to Dacusville in the car that crashed. School staff said the child was up and walking around afterwards.
Troopers reported that someone was injured in the crash.
Another crash near the new Easley High School was also causing some delays Tuesday morning.
Troopers said there was an accident along SC 8 near Pope Field Road about 7:45 a.m. that was blocking the roadway.
