GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Jared Fogle, who is seen on commercials for Subway sandwiches, is talking to kids in the Upstate about being more healthy.

Sixty percent of students in Greenville County are reported to be overweight or obese, so Fogle talked to a group of elementary school kids at the Sterling School in Greenville.

He discussed his new program, Fresh Start, that encourages children to track their food intake and physical activity over the next eight weeks and send them to his program.

Children who take part in the challenge will receive a free sandwich just for entering, then will be put into a drawing to win a Subway-sponsored party or potentially a $1,000 grant from the Jared Fogle Foundation.

Details can be found at schools throughout the Upstate.
