GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
To help support the Harvest Hope Food Bank, a Greenville Chick-fil-A is giving away free food on Friday.
The Pelham Road Chick-fil-A is holding the MOO-ving Cow-a-Van for Hunger event until 1 p.m. on Aug. 31.
Customers are asked to bring five canned goods or non-perishable items to receive a voucher for free Chick-fil-A.

Customers can also make a $7 donation that helps purchase a backpack filled with seven meals to feed hungry children who do not get enough to eat on the weekend.
"It is our pleasure to be the first Chick-fil-A in Greenville to host the MOO-ving Cow-a-Van for Hunger," said Cheri Shilling, Chick-fil-A Marketing Director for the Pelham Road location. "Harvest Hope's shelves are empty and we know the need for food is critical."
In South Carolina, one in four children go to bed hungry every night, according to Harvest Hope.
