ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A former Anderson County deputy and his wife were arrested after deputies said they got into a fight Monday night.
Deputies were called to 31-year-old Mark Miller's Woody Acres Drive home about 7 p.m. after his wife reported being assaulted by her husband.
According to a deputy's report, Miller and his wife, 32-year-old Jessica Miller, were at her father's lake home and began fighting.
When they left to go home, Jessica Miller told deputies that her husband grabbed her on her side while driving, leaving a bruise - which he claimed was playful.
The report said Jessica Miller tried to gather some belongings and leave their home, but her husband would not let her, so she called her dad to come help.
When Jessica Miller's dad arrived, all three began fighting, and at one point, Mark Miller grabbed a 1x4 wooden board and acted like he was going to hit Jessica Miller's father so she punched him the face, according to the report.
Mark Miller told deputies that his wife had and father-in-law had attacked him during the argument.
Both of the Millers were arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence first offense, according to the report.
According to the State Law Enforcement Division, Mark Miller was charged with misconduct in office and distribution of a controlled substance on July 30.
According to an arrest warrant, Miller was trying to distribute hydrocodone, a painkiller. Miller had been a deputy with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office since June 2009 until he was fired following his July arrest.
